Aqtaï Abdullah: Playing for Al Ahly is a great honor

Aqtaï Abdullah, the new Al Ahly player, confirmed that playing for the Red team is a great honor, emphasizing that he aims to achieve all titles with the team.

Aqtai stated in his remarks to Al Ahly's channel from the team's camp in Spain: "Playing for Al Ahly is a great honor. I thank Captain Mahmoud El Khatib for finalizing the contract. Wearing the Al Ahly jersey is a source of pride for any player, and I hope to find success with the team in the upcoming period."

He added: "I couldn't believe at first that I joined Al Ahly, even my family couldn't believe it from the sheer joy, although the whole house is Al Ahly fans except for my uncle. When the club reached out to me, I was over the moon."

Regarding the reception from his teammates, he explained: "Everyone welcomed me in the best way, and they spoke to me in a manner that made me not feel like a new player, but rather I immediately felt part of the team."

Aqtai revealed a message from Wael Gomaa: "In our first meeting, he told me: Don't be afraid and play freely, we are all behind you, supporting you, and confident in your abilities. These words mean a lot to me."

Discussing the training camp in Spain, he said: "The training is very intense, and we have been doing two sessions a day, morning and evening. The workloads have been high, and we are benefiting from the friendly matches to reach our best form."

He concluded: "Al Ahly is always the number one contender for any tournament it participates in, and I came to achieve all the titles. We have vowed to play as one and not to spare any effort, and our goal is to make the fans and the board of directors happy."
