Mamdouh Salah's First Comments After Joining Al Ahly

Mahmoud Salah, the new Al Ahly player, commented on his joining the Red Castle, expressing his great happiness about the move to the club.

Al Ahly announced this morning, Friday, that they have signed Mahmoud Salah, coming from Ghazl El Mahalla, on a contract that extends for 5 seasons, as part of strengthening the squads of both the youth and first teams during the ongoing summer transfer window.

Mahmoud Salah stated in official remarks after completing the transfer: "Of course, any player would be happy to move to Al Ahly, it is a great club, one of the best in Africa, and the club of the century."

The left winger stated: "Joining Al Ahly represents the fulfillment of my ambitions and my family's ambitions, and God willing, I can achieve any success for the club."

Regarding the negotiations with Al Ahly, he said: "My brother was the one handling this matter, and from time to time I would ask him how the discussions were progressing. I was very happy to learn about the negotiations from Al Ahly's officials... My father was following the news of the negotiations on Facebook."

Speaking about the competition with Al Ahly players, he said: "It will definitely be tough, as these stars were ones I watched on television not long ago, and I dreamed of playing alongside them, and now I'm competing for a spot in one of their places."

He added: "I will be very happy when I am at Mokhtar El-Tetch Stadium for the team's training, and I won't believe I am at such a historic ground like El-Tetch, and with such a historic club like Al Ahly."

Mahmoud Salah concluded his statements by saying: "My message to the fans? God willing, I will present something new for you, and I will help the team on the pitch with my teammates. We will do our utmost in every tournament, and we will play every match as if it were a final."
