Konyaspor Pulls Out of Imam Ashour Deal

Recent reports have unveiled the latest developments regarding Konya Spor's desire to sign Imam Ashour, the star of Al Ahly and the Egyptian national team, during the current summer transfer window.

According to the newspaper "Yeni Haber", Konyaspor's management is seriously contemplating halting their efforts to sign Imam Ashour, the Al Ahly midfielder, due to recent deadlock in talks between the two clubs.

The Egyptian international has been the primary target and the most significant signing pursued by the Turkish club in the current transfer market. However, all their efforts to bridge the gap have failed, despite the club's flexibility and financial incentives offered to persuade the other party.

This decline is due to the strict financial conditions imposed by Al Ahly, as the Red Club has demanded a base fee of $8 million for the player's contract, in addition to other financial incentives and variables. Konyaspor's management considers this amount to be exorbitant and beyond their financial capacity.

The obstacles did not stop at Al Ahly's demands alone, but extended to the personal conditions of the 28-year-old player, as his required annual salary of around two million dollars poses a significant burden on Konyaspor's budget, which found the total cost of the deal beyond its available capabilities.
