Arsenal Leads Race for Inter's Pio Esposito
Arsenal is leading the race to sign Sebastiano Esposito, the young striker from Inter Milan, as manager Mikel Arteta looks to bolster his attacking options, especially after the club's failure to secure Vinicius Junior.
According to The Sun, Arsenal has been keeping an eye on Esposito for several months and sent scouts to follow him during the Inter vs. Milan friendly match, noting that the player's value could reach £73 million.
The Italian striker is also attracting interest from Manchester United, which has prepared a dossier on him, but they prefer to wait before making an offer, giving Arsenal the chance to act first.
Meanwhile, reports have emerged that Esposito has verbally reached an agreement regarding a new contract with Inter, preferring to continue with the club after scoring 9 goals in Serie A and the Champions League last season.
Esposito's commitment to remaining with Inter may pose the biggest obstacle to his move to the English Premier League, despite interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.
