Official: Saad Samir Announces Retirement from Football

Saad Samir, the former defender of Al Ahly and the Egypt national team, has officially announced his retirement from football at the age of 37, bringing an end to a long career filled with titles and achievements.

Said Samir posted an emotional message on his official account, confirming the difficulty of the farewell moment, noting that football was not just a profession for him, but an essential part of his life, from which he learned responsibility, hard work, and determination.

The Egyptian defender spent most of his career wearing the Al Ahly jersey, while also representing clubs such as Tala'ea El Gaish, El Mokawloon, Al Masry, and Ceramica Cleopatra, in addition to playing 10 international matches for the Egypt national team.

Said Samir has ended his career after winning 28 titles, including 26 with Al Ahly and two League Cup titles with Ceramica Cleopatra, affirming that his relationship with football will not end as he prepares to embark on a new challenge in the upcoming phase.
