Al-Taawoun Signs Moroccan Forward Younes Al-Bahrawi

Saudi club Al-Taawoun announced on Sunday that it has officially signed Moroccan striker Younes Al-Bahrawi from Kawkab Marrakech, as part of its efforts to strengthen the squad during the summer transfer window in preparation for the new season.

The club confirmed via its official account on X that Al-Bahrawi has signed a contract extending for three seasons until the summer of 2029, with a clause allowing the club to extend the contract for an additional season.

Al-Taawoun welcomed its new signing with a message posted on its official account stating: "Younes Al-Bahrawi is ready to write his first chapters with Al-Taawoun, starting a journey filled with passion and dedication to delight the Wolves' fans."

According to Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiyah, Al-Taawoun's management has completed all procedures for signing the Moroccan forward, noting that the transfer fee amounted to one million euros, along with a clause granting Kawkab Marrakech 30% of any future transfer fee for the player to another club.

The same source added that the player, born in 2005 and crowned with the Under-20 World Cup title last August, will head to Merlo, Netherlands, in the coming days, where Al-Taawoun is holding its training camp, to undergo medical examinations before joining the team’s training sessions.

Last season, Al-Bahrawi played 20 matches in the Moroccan league, scoring four goals and providing three assists, confirming his presence as one of the most promising talents in the professional league.

With his move to Al-Taawoun, Younes Al-Bahrawi becomes the seventh Moroccan player to wear the club's jersey in the Saudi Professional League, following Abdul Razak Hamdallah and Ashraf Mahdawi, who currently represent "Al-Naft" alongside Abdul Hamid Sabiri, Salah Eddine Aqqal, Munir El Hamdaoui, and Faisal Fajr, who have previously represented the team in past seasons.
