Inter Turns Away from Curtis Jones and Prioritizes Nicolo Bissele
Inter Milan has turned to search for an alternative in midfield after its negotiations with Liverpool to sign Curtis Jones faltered, highlighting Nicolo Bissele, a Roma player, as the most prominent option available to the club's management during the summer transfer window.
The 'Football Italia' website indicated that Inter did not achieve the start it hoped for in the transfer market, having lost the race to sign Marco Balestra to Chelsea, and also failed to acquire Nico Paz, who is close to moving to Como, before its negotiations with Liverpool regarding Curtis Jones also became complicated.
The Italian club was prepared to pay around 25 million euros to acquire the English midfielder, who has one year left on his contract with Liverpool, but the English club insisted on receiving about 40 million euros, in addition to bonuses, along with the player's high salary, which caused the negotiations to halt.
The report explained that Inter is now focusing its attention on Nicolo Bissele, who is 21 years old and has a market value of about 25 million euros, while earning an annual salary of about 2.5 million euros including bonuses, which is much less than Jones's salary.
The 'Football Italia' website added that negotiations could accelerate if Roma agrees to sell its player, as the club needs to complete some deals before June 30 to comply with its agreement with UEFA regarding financial fair play rules, and selling Bissele, as a graduate of the club's academy, would grant Roma full capital gains.
