Inter Milan Nearing Renewal of Esposito's Contract

Sunday 28-06-2026
Inter Milan is moving to secure the future of its young striker Francesco Pio Esposito, after starting steps to renew his contract with a long-term deal, following the outstanding season he delivered with the team.

The 'Football Italia' website explained that journalist 'Alfredo Pedulla' confirmed, via his YouTube channel, that Esposito, who has turned twenty-one, is close to signing a new contract extending for five years, with a salary ranging between 3.5 and 4 million euros, in addition to performance-related bonuses.

Pedulla pointed out that the young striker returned from a successful loan with Spezia, before scoring seven goals in the Italian league and contributing to Inter's domestic double triumph. He also established himself within the ranks of the Italian national team and scored a goal in the recent friendly match against Greece.

He added that the interest in signing Esposito is not new, as Manchester United and Leicester City have been closely following the player since January 2025, while United monitored him in all his matches with Spezia. Napoli also placed him among its targets last summer and was ready to make a significant financial offer, both in terms of the deal's value and the player's salary.

Inter's move to renew Esposito's contract reflects the club's desire to retain one of the most promising rising talents, despite the interest he has received from several prominent clubs in recent times.
