Dani Ceballos has concluded his journey with Real Madrid after spending nine years with the team, following the club's official announcement of his departure. He ended his association with the royal club by mutual consent, after both parties reached an agreement to terminate the contract, which had one season remaining.

The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that Ceballos left Real Madrid on a free transfer, in exchange for waiving the salary of the last season of his contract, as he is close to moving to Real Betis during the summer transfer window.

The newspaper added that the Spanish midfielder bid farewell to Real Madrid fans with a message on his social media accounts, while receiving farewell messages from a limited number of his former teammates, including Dani Carvajal, Andriy Lunin, Álvaro Carreras, Antonio Rüdiger, Jude Bellingham, Thibaut Courtois, Fran González, the Castilla goalkeeper, and the third goalkeeper of the first team.

The report noted that farewell messages were not limited to Real Madrid players, as Toni Kroos, Sergio Ramos, Joselu, as well as the podiatrist and several physiotherapists at the club, all wished him success in his next endeavor.
