Arsenal Prepares a New Offer to Sign Guimaraes After First Attempt Rejected

Arsenal continues its efforts to sign Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimarães during the summer transfer window, after Newcastle United rejected the first offer made by the Gunners to acquire the team captain.

According to reports, Arsenal's initial offer was around £55 million, but Newcastle's management immediately rejected it, affirming their commitment to the player and their unwillingness to sell under the current terms. Nevertheless, the London club does not intend to back down, as they are preparing to make a second improved offer in an attempt to persuade the Magpies to complete the deal.

Guimarães is considered one of coach Mikel Arteta's main targets to strengthen the midfield, as he sees him as a strong addition due to his abilities in ball recovery, playmaking, and leadership on the field.

Reports indicate that Arsenal remains confident that an agreement can be reached if they increase their offer in the coming days.

On the other hand, Newcastle is holding firm in its position and hopes to retain its Brazilian star, despite the increasing pressure and significant interest the player is receiving in the summer transfer market.
