Arsenal in dilemma over talent Max Dowman
Arsenal are in a dilemma regarding their young talent Max Dowman, as it is difficult to provide him with enough playing time despite his impressive performances whenever he gets the chance.
Max Dowman is only 16 years old and plays as a right winger, where he faces strong competition from Bukayo Saka and Noni Madueke. The player waited until mid-September to get his chance and succeeded in catching the eye by scoring two goals during Arsenal's 4-2 win over Ipswich Town in the EFL Cup, before he participated for just 9 minutes against Brighton, in the match that Arsenal lost 3-0.
Max Dowman shone during the recent international break with England U19, where he scored a goal against Ireland, reaffirming his significant potential despite his young age.
Arsenal face a growing dilemma as the winter transfer window approaches, with Max Dowman unable to leave on loan during the summer due to not reaching the permitted age. He will turn 17 on December 31, which means he will be eligible for a loan move starting in January.
However, Arsenal do not seem enthusiastic about letting Max Dowman go, even on loan, as they want to keep the player and continue developing him within the club. In contrast, Dowman is not worried about his current situation, especially since he comes from a family that supports Arsenal and backs his career, and he believes that staying with the club may be the best option for his development.
Mikel Arteta continues to express his strong confidence in the young talent, keeping the door open for a potential loan in the future if the club cannot provide him with the minutes he needs.
