Wednesday 24-06-2026
Al-Khaleej Club announced the completion of its contract with Spanish midfielder Omar Mascarell during the summer transfer period of 2026, to support the team's midfield in preparation for the new season of the Roshan Professional League.

Mascarell is 33 years old and has extensive experience in European fields, making him an important technical addition to the team's midfield in the upcoming phase.

The player began his football career at the Real Madrid Academy and participated with the first team under coach José Mourinho, before going on loan experiences in the English and Spanish leagues.

Mascarell went through several stages, most notably Derby County in England and Sporting Gijon, before establishing a stronger presence in the German league.

The player delivered outstanding performances with Eintracht Frankfurt, where he won the German Cup with the team in the 2017-2018 season after defeating Bayern Munich.

He also continued his career with Schalke 04, before returning to the Spanish league through clubs Elche and Real Mallorca, relying on his defensive roles in the pivot position.

Internationally, Mascarell represented Spain's youth teams before later choosing to represent the Equatorial Guinea national team starting in 2024.
