Ancelotti Announces Neymar's Readiness for the Scotland Match

Saturday 20-06-2026
The Italian Carlo Ancelotti, coach of the Brazil national team, announced that Neymar is ready to participate in the upcoming match against Scotland, which is the final game of the group stage in the 2026 World Cup.

The Brazil national team was without Neymar in the first and second rounds against Morocco and Haiti due to injury, which affected his participation with the team at the start of their campaign in the tournament.

Neymar is currently in the final stages of his rehabilitation program to recover from a right calf injury, under intensive medical supervision within the national team's camp.

Ancelotti said in a press statement following Brazil's victory over Haiti: "Neymar will train individually on Saturday, then on Monday he will join the team for group training, and he will be ready for the match against Scotland."

The match between Brazil and Scotland is scheduled to take place at 1:00 AM next Thursday, as part of the third and final round of the group stage. Brazil had previously drawn 1-1 with Morocco before defeating Haiti 3-0.
