Endrick faces tough situation with Mourinho, January exit possible

Brazilian Endrick is facing a tough situation at Real Madrid at the start of the current season, having only featured for 4 minutes in the first 8 matches of the team in LaLiga.

Endrick missed the first four matches due to an injury sustained during pre-season, but he has returned to José Mourinho's squad for the following four matches, although he has only received very limited minutes.

Competition for attacking spots at Real Madrid is extremely fierce, with Kylian Mbappé, Vinicius Junior, and Diomande, alongside Arda Güler, Brahim Díaz, and Espi, making it difficult for Endrick to secure regular playing time.

In contrast, the Brazilian forward is experiencing a completely different situation with his national team, after Carlo Ancelotti called him up and he participated more during the current international break.

Endrick started in the first match against Australia, scoring a disallowed goal, before coming on in the second half of the same opponent's second match, where he provided an assist. This confirms his ability to make an impact when given the opportunity.

Endrick had several offers to leave Real Madrid during the summer transfer window, with AS Roma's offer being the most convincing for him, especially as the Italian club is participating in the UEFA Champions League and currently leads Serie A.

The agreement for the player's loan to AS Roma had reached advanced stages, and he was expected to play alongside Malin and Paulo Dybala, before things changed following Mourinho's intervention.

According to the report, the Portuguese coach spoke with Endrick and asked him to stay at Real Madrid, assuring him that he relies on him and wants to give him a chance to prove himself. Endrick responded to Mourinho's desire, especially since his main dream is to succeed in the Real Madrid shirt. However, he also keeps the option to reassess his position during the winter transfer window if he continues to be sidelined.

The possibility of Endrick's departure in January remains, with the chance of a loan experience similar to the one he had with Lyon. AS Roma's interest in the player is still present, along with offers and interest from other European clubs.

These developments come as Endrick continues to work hard to exploit any opportunity he gets, especially since the injury of any attacking player, such as Mbappé, could pave the way for him to participate.

During his time with Olympique Lyon in the second half of last season, Endrick participated in 21 matches, scoring 8 goals and providing 5 assists. He also proved his ability to play as a central striker or to move on the right flank.

José Mourinho's decision to rely on Endrick has support within Real Madrid, but the club's management is also aware of the importance of handling the player's future with caution, especially after the significant investment made to sign him.

Real Madrid paid a fixed fee of €35 million for Endrick, with the possibility of adding another €25 million in variables. The club's total investment in the player, after accounting for the transfer fee, commissions, salaries, bonuses, and taxes, has surpassed €80 million.

For this reason, Real Madrid sees Endrick getting playing minutes as a key element in his development process, while the final decision regarding his future remains tied to what happens in the coming months, and whether Mourinho will be able to provide him with the opportunities he needs or if the option of a loan move will come back into play in January.

Endrick is 20 years old, and he understands that continuing to develop requires regular playing minutes, after his previous experience with Olympique Lyon proved that a loan can be beneficial for his career.
