Chicago Fire Presents Ambitious Project to Convince Lewandowski to Join

Chicago Fire continues its attempts to sign Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, taking advantage of his status as a free agent after his contract with Barcelona ended, amidst several other offers on the player's table during the current transfer window.

The Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo' reported that Lewandowski and his agent Pini Zahavi traveled to the United States to study the offer presented by the American club, without making a final decision about his next destination yet.

As part of the club's efforts to convince the veteran striker, Greg Berhalter, the head coach of Chicago Fire, stated in his remarks that the club offered the player a comprehensive sports project aimed at continuing to develop his career and compete for titles.

Berhalter indicated that the club's management showcased the benefits provided by the city of Chicago, along with the team's sporting ambitions, explaining that Chicago Fire possesses one of the strongest offensive lines in the American league, but seeks to reach the top position and compete seriously for the title.

The coach added that Lewandowski's joining would give the team a significant boost towards achieving this goal, considering that the player has all the necessary components to become one of the prominent football stars in the United States.

Chicago Fire's plan includes a financial offer extending for two or three seasons for about 20 million dollars annually, reflecting the club's desire to enhance its competitive ability and compete for the American league title.

Despite this, the American club faces strong competition for the Polish striker's services, as Mundo Deportivo indicated interest from Saudi club Al Hilal, as well as Italian clubs like Milan and Juventus, in addition to Manchester United, whose name has been linked with the player in English media reports.
