English giant enters race to sign Balde
Liverpool are planning to move for Alejandro Balde, the left-back of FC Barcelona, during the upcoming winter transfer window, based on the wishes of manager Andoni Iraola.
According to Spanish newspaper "Sport", Iraola wants Alejandro Balde to arrive at Anfield in January, having made the player one of his main targets to strengthen the left-back position.
Liverpool face competition from Manchester United, who are also monitoring the situation of the Spanish full-back and are interested in securing his services. Liverpool believes that their good relationship with FC Barcelona may give them an advantage in negotiations if the Catalan club decides to allow the player to leave during the winter transfer window.
The market value required to part ways with the player is estimated at around €40 million, a figure that could make the transfer feasible for Premier League clubs.
The player's position remains crucial, especially after he rejected a move this summer, while Liverpool hope to leverage their relationship with FC Barcelona to outmaneuver Manchester United and secure the deal in January.
