Barcelona and Real Madrid are closely watching the potential departure of Norwegian Erling Haaland from Manchester City to Spain in 2027, according to reports from TEAMtalk.

Erling Haaland signed a 9-year contract with Manchester City at the start of 2025, with sources confirming the removal of exit clauses from his previous agreements. However, sources close to FC Barcelona and Real Madrid believe that his current contract still includes options that could open the door for his departure.

Information suggests that there is an understanding between Erling Haaland and the Manchester City management that if the player decides to seek a new challenge, the club would be willing to consider the possibility of his departure, although the striker remains committed to the team and currently shows no desire to leave.

Since joining Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, Haaland has scored 168 goals in 204 matches, breaking numerous records.

TEAMtalk suggests that 2027 could be a potential opportunity for Haaland to reconsider his future, especially with the European Championship 2028 approaching.

FC Barcelona continue to monitor the Norwegian forward after failing to sign Julián Álvarez, while Real Madrid have included Haaland in their long-term plans, despite questions about the possibility of integrating him with Kylian Mbappé.

Currently, there are no indications of Erling Haaland pushing to leave, but the two Spanish clubs are preparing for the possibility of opening the door for his transfer in 2027.
