Referee Team for Arsenal vs Manchester City Charity Shield Announced
The Football Association has announced the referee team that will officiate the match between Arsenal and Manchester City in the Charity Shield final, scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
The match is scheduled to start at 8:00 PM Mecca and Cairo time, while it will take place at 9:00 PM UAE time.
The match will be officiated by English referee Samuel Barrott, assisted on the lines by Craig Taylor as first assistant and Balak Anthropos as second assistant, while Varai Halam will serve as the fourth official.
In the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) room, James Bell has been appointed as the video referee, assisted by Tim Wood.
The match brings together Arsenal, the Premier League champions, and Manchester City, the FA Cup holders, in the first official encounter of the new season, as both teams look to secure the first trophy of the campaign before the Premier League kicks off.
