Manchester United Defender Offered to Inter Milan

Monday 01-06-2026
Italian press reports indicate that Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has been offered to Inter Milan, the Serie A and Coppa Italia champions, through intermediaries coming from England, according to what was published by "La Gazzetta dello Sport."

Inter Milan, led by coach Cristian Chivu, is preparing to strengthen its squad during the summer transfer window, particularly in defense and midfield, after winning the domestic double in his first full season with the team.

This comes amid the possibility of several defenders leaving as their contracts expire in June, including Francesco Acerbi and Matteo Darmian, with a chance for Stefan de Vrij to depart as well. Additionally, there are reports suggesting the potential sale of Jan Bisseck to Bayern Munich.

Despite Maguire's offer, who recently renewed his contract with Manchester United until the summer of 2027, Inter's management does not currently prioritize signing the English defender.

The newspaper "La Gazzetta dello Sport" confirms that Inter Milan is currently focusing on signing Udinese defender Omar Soolit as the first option to strengthen the defense line, alongside their interest in acquiring Marco Balestra to support the right-back position.
