Bournemouth Announces Departure of Marcos Senesi at Season's End

Bournemouth has announced the departure of their Argentine defender Marcos Senesi this coming summer, following the expiration of his contract, thus ending a four-year stint with the team.

Senesi joined Bournemouth from Feyenoord in 2022 and has since established himself as one of the key elements in the defense line during one of the club's most successful periods.

The Argentine defender played 124 matches in the Bournemouth jersey and played a significant role in establishing the team's presence in the Premier League. He was also one of the influential players in the historic 2024/2025 season, which saw the club achieve its highest points tally in Premier League history with 56 points, finishing the season in ninth place.

Senesi also scored crucial goals in significant victories against Manchester United, Crystal Palace, and Brighton, in addition to contributing to the team keeping a clean sheet in 11 matches so far this season.

In statements to the club's official website, the player confirmed that he felt at home from the first day of his arrival, expressing pride in what has been achieved over the past four years and gratitude for the support he received from the team's fans.

Bournemouth stated that they will celebrate the player's career and contributions with the team at the Vitality Stadium, following the final home game of the season against Manchester City.
