Hazem Emam, the former star of the Egyptian national team and Zamalek Club, revealed the reasons for his refusal to take on the position of president of the White Castle.

Hazem Emam said during his statements on "ON Sports" channel: "I have been offered the presidency of Zamalek Club more than once, but my response has always been to decline."

He added: "When I held positions in football, I found that it wasn't just about having a prominent name or a historical background; there must also be abilities and features, and this was something I didn't have sufficiently in the past."

He continued: "I found that my abilities and capabilities do not allow me to take on the presidency of the White Castle, and I feared causing more problems for the club. Therefore, I preferred not to take on the responsibility because every person has their limits."

He explained: "I made the right decision by rejecting the requests to lead Zamalek, because the situation at the club was not in the best state, and I usually received praise for this decision due to the numerous crises."

He continued: "I might consider taking on the presidency of Zamalek Club in the future, but I am not currently seeking the position. If I find myself competent in the upcoming period, I will definitely run for it."
