Tuesday 21-04-2026
German press reports, most notably from Sky Network, revealed that Borussia Mönchengladbach has initiated preliminary talks with Tunisian midfielder Rani Khedira, the star of Union Berlin, in preparation for a potential signing in the upcoming period.

According to the report, the club nicknamed "Die Fohlen" has not yet officially contacted the management of Union Berlin, despite its clear interest in the 32-year-old player, indicating that negotiations are still in their preliminary stages.

Khedira's current contract with Union Berlin extends until the summer of 2027, as the German club prefers to retain his services in the long term due to his importance to the team and his extensive experience in midfield.

Since joining Union Berlin from Augsburg in 2021, Khedira, the brother of former German star Sami Khedira, has established himself as a key player, participating in 182 matches, scoring 8 goals, and providing 4 assists.
