Spanish press reports revealed the status of Atletico Madrid duo, Ademola Lookman and Alexander Sorloth, regarding their participation in the upcoming match against Arsenal in the Champions League, after they sustained injuries during the last match.

Atletico Madrid issued an official statement clarifying the players' condition, confirming that Lookman and Sorloth finished the Copa del Rey final experiencing physical discomfort.

The club explained in its statement that the medical examinations the players underwent recommended caution to avoid exacerbating the injury, noting that they will undergo a special rehabilitation program in the coming days, training separately from the group, with their return to group training to be determined based on their health progress.

According to reports, the duo might miss several matches, and their participation in the Arsenal clash seems highly doubtful, which represents a potential blow to coach Diego Simeone, who relies on them mainly in the attacking line.

Lookman left the last match after 62 minutes due to injury, while Sorloth completed the match after coming on as a substitute in the 63rd minute before later revealing he was suffering from some physical issues.
