The English club Manchester City has officially announced the departure of the Portuguese star Bernardo Silva from the team during the upcoming summer transfer window, at the end of the current season.

The official website of Manchester City mentioned that Bernardo Silva, who joined the team in 2017, will leave the club after a career spanning nine years, during which he participated in 451 matches wearing the City jersey.

During his time with Manchester City, the 31-year-old player contributed to a golden era for the club, crowned with 19 major titles, including 6 Premier League titles, a Champions League title, 2 FA Cups, 5 League Cups, 3 Community Shields, as well as the Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup, with the latest being the 2026 League Cup against Arsenal.

The official website added that Bernardo Silva scored 76 goals and provided 77 assists, reflecting his significant contribution to the team's successes over the past years, and he also entered the list of the top 10 players in terms of appearances in the club's history.

The club clarified that Bernardo will continue to focus with the team for the remainder of the season, amidst ongoing competition for the Premier League title and the FA Cup under the leadership of coach Pep Guardiola.

Manchester City concluded its official statement by confirming that the player will be immortalized as one of the most prominent and important stars in the club's history, to be honored and bid farewell in a fitting manner at the end of the season.
