Olmo: We Will Not Be Satisfied and Will Learn from the Elimination, and We Will Return Stronger in the Future
Spanish player Dani Olmo, from FC Barcelona, expressed his disappointment after the team's exit from the Champions League quarter-finals against Atletico Madrid, affirming that the team will benefit from this experience in the future.
Olmo said: "We will not be satisfied, we have to give much more than that. Nothing has been given to us, and sometimes things are taken from us. This is an experience for the coming years. We are a very young team, and we will learn from this, rise up, and continue."
He continued: "Atletico Madrid is a team that plays well and knows how to hurt us. In a late press we made, they took advantage of that, but then we had other opportunities. Then there were some controversial moments like the penalty and the sending off where Julian was close. These are not excuses, and we have to keep improving. We are very young and will return to compete again."
He added: "We have to keep going; for almost two years, we've been progressing in the same way. Ultimately, within the team, we must continue to insist. The idea is clear; it's a successful project, and we've proven that. We can win many titles and bring happiness to the fans."
