Doubts Surround Gasperini's Future with Roma
Tuesday 07-04-2026
AS Roma is experiencing a state of anxiety after the heavy 5-2 defeat against Inter Milan on Sunday evening, which led to the team dropping to sixth place, four points behind fourth place occupied by Como, according to reports from the newspaper 'La Gazzetta dello Sport'.

Sources indicated that the future of coach Gian Piero Gasperini at the Stadio Olimpico has become uncertain and will depend on the team's results in the final stages of the season, especially with the team's inconsistent performance in recent matches.

Reports added that the club's management has also evaluated the situation of some of the more experienced players, including Gianluca Mancini and Bryan Cristante, as negotiations to renew their contracts, which expire in 2027, have been suspended until the club's strategy for the next season is determined.

Negotiations have also been suspended with Paulo Dybala, Zeki Celik, and Stephan El Shaarawy, with the possibility of their departure during the next summer after their contracts end at the end of the current season. As for player Lorenzo Pellegrini, initial talks have been held between him and Roma's management, but they have not yet reached advanced stages.

Meanwhile, the club's fans have shown impatience, with sources reporting that protests against the team and coach Gasperini will be present during the upcoming match at Stadio Olimpico in the Italian league against Pisa.
