The media personality Khaled Al-Ghandour stated that the Football Association will hold a meeting soon to discuss renewing the contract of Hossam Hassan and his coaching staff, in recognition of his success in improving the level of the Egyptian national team, which was clearly evident in their recent results, most notably the thrilling draw against Spain.

The Egyptian national team defeated the Saudi national team with a score of 4-0 in the first friendly match held during the March camp, and the Pharaohs drew against Spain in the second friendly match with a score of 0-0.

Al-Ghandour added on the "Stad Al-Mehwar" program that there is complete satisfaction within the Football Association towards Hossam Hassan and his team, which has strengthened the inclination to renew his contract.

He pointed out that the agreement will include specific conditions, most notably ensuring qualification for the 2030 World Cup and reaching at least the final match in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.

Al-Ghandour concluded that the Football Association will officially finalize this step in the coming period, and there are proposals awaiting renewal and announcement upon reaching the second round of the 2026 World Cup.
