Spanish press reports have revealed new developments regarding the future of Portuguese star João Cancelo, as Barcelona has begun seriously considering converting his loan from Al Hilal Saudi Club into a permanent transfer.

This step comes as part of the Catalan club's coaching staff's desire to maintain the team's stability following the impressive performance the player has shown since joining. Cancelo had expressed his desire to continue with Barcelona and not return to Al Hilal, affirming his comfort with living and competing in Spain.

On the other hand, Al Hilal's management is taking a firm stance, refusing to let go of the player for free or terminate his contract without receiving appropriate financial compensation.
