Several local press reports have confirmed that the Saudi Arabian Football Federation has decided to dismiss French coach Hervé Renard from his position as the head coach of the national team, following a series of unsatisfactory results in recent times.

The match between Saudi Arabia and Serbia this Tuesday evening, in a friendly encounter, will be Renard's last as the official head coach of the Green Falcons before he leaves his position.

The decision to dismiss came just days after the heavy 4-0 defeat against the Egyptian national team in a friendly match, which increased the pressure on the coaching staff and prompted the federation to make a change before the upcoming phase.

According to reports, Moroccan coach Walid Regragui is one of the leading candidates to take charge of the Saudi national team in preparation for the World Cup finals scheduled for next summer.
