FIFA Takes Over Green Falcons' Expenses and Removes Sponsors
The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has taken over the management of all financial and organizational aspects related to the Saudi national team during its participation in the 2026 World Cup, according to arrangements that came into effect starting June 10.
Under the approved procedures, FIFA became responsible for covering the costs of the Saudi national team's stay at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston, USA, in addition to the subsistence and logistical services accompanying the delegation.
The International Federation also takes direct supervision over the media and organizational files related to the national team during the current training camp in preparation for participating in global competitions.
The preparations witnessed a clear change within the team's facilities, as the signs of previous sponsors were removed from the training field and replaced with the official partners of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).
On the technical readiness front, striker Abdullah Al-Hamdan returned to participate in group training after ensuring his physical condition, and he appeared in the open session in front of the media in the city of Austin.
The players began the training session with stretching exercises under the guidance of the Greek coach Georgios Donis, while Hamdan continued part of his program with specialized exercises using a stationary bike.
The coaching staff divided the national team players into two groups; the first underwent recovery programs after the friendly match against Senegal, while the second group focused on technical ball training.
The Saudi national team continues its intensive preparations ahead of facing Uruguay in the opening of its campaign in Group H, which also includes Spain and Cape Verde, in the 2026 World Cup.
