Paraguay Coach: Facing Morocco is an Opportunity to Learn, Not to Achieve Results
The Argentine coach Gustavo Alfaro, the coach of the Paraguay national team, confirmed that the team-building process is still ongoing, noting that the final lineup has not yet been decided, and that the main goal of the friendly matches is not the results but rather to derive technical lessons.
Álvaro said in a press conference following his team's victory over Greece in Athens: "I don't yet have a fixed or stable team. We are still in the phase of experimentation and searching for the best possible combination."
He added, "I don't care about the result of the match against Morocco; what matters to me are the conclusions we will draw after the encounter."
The coach indicated that he will continue to give opportunities to a number of players, including Orlando Gil, who may take on the role of goalkeeper against Morocco, while maintaining the core lineup with some limited changes.
The Paraguay national team is scheduled to meet the Moroccan national team next Tuesday in the city of Lens, at 20:00 GMT+1, after Morocco drew 1-1 with Ecuador in Madrid as part of their preparations for upcoming commitments.
