Raphinha's Injury Raises Concerns for Barcelona
Friday 27-03-2026
The Brazilian national team and its coach Carlo Ancelotti received a worrying blow after forward Raphinha sustained an injury during the friendly match against France held at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, United States.

Raphinha was forced to leave the match at halftime after feeling pain in his right thigh, according to the Brazilian Football Confederation.

The Barcelona player is scheduled to undergo medical examinations today, Friday, to determine the severity of the injury. It is unlikely that he will be available to participate in Brazil's upcoming friendly match against Croatia on Tuesday in Orlando.

The concern is not limited to the Brazilian national team but extends to FC Barcelona as well, especially since Raphinha has recently suffered from muscular issues in his right leg.

Carlo Ancelotti, the coach of the Brazilian national team, said about the reason for substituting Raphinha: "Raphinha played well during the first half, but he had an issue, and we had to substitute him."
