Shobier: Focus on Supporting the National Team Before the World Cup
The media personality Ahmed Shobeir emphasized that one should not rush to judge the Egyptian national team based on friendly matches.
The Egyptian national team will play two friendly matches against Saudi Arabia and Spain on March 27 and 31, in preparation for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Shobier added in a radio statement: "Regardless of the result, the coaching staff should be credited for playing against Saudi Arabia and Spain on their home turf, as well as the match against Brazil in America. We should support and back the Pharaohs in the World Cup instead of judging and criticizing the players and the coaching staff."
He added: "Beating Saudi Arabia and Spain does not mean winning the World Cup, and losing does not mean not going to the tournament. Support and backing are needed because there is only about a month and a half left before the matches begin."
