Casado at the Top of Al-Ahli Saudi's Priorities
Wednesday 25-03-2026
The Spanish newspaper "Sport" revealed that Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado is the primary target for Saudi club Al-Ahli during the upcoming transfer window, amid uncertainty surrounding his future with the Catalan club.

According to the report, the player's future largely depends on his personal decision, as Barcelona does not oppose the idea of his departure if he wishes to seek greater opportunities for participation, especially after his role diminished this season, having played only about 1200 minutes with the team.

Barcelona is heavily betting on the young talent Marc Bernal in his position, and the club also plans to promote player Tomy Marquez to the first team, which could further reduce Casado's chances of getting playing time in the future.

Casado had refused to listen to offers last summer, preferring to stay with Barcelona, while he is currently focused on getting as much playing time as possible until the end of the season.

The player and his agent are expected to decide his future at the end of the current season, whether to continue with Barcelona or to embark on a new experience outside the club.

The report concluded that Casado might also be included in a potential exchange deal with one of the clubs interested in signing him, but from an economic standpoint, a move to the Saudi league could be more beneficial for Barcelona.
