Milan Reopens File on Jaissle Amid Rangnick's Uncertain Position
AC Milan continues its efforts to select new technical and administrative leadership following the changes the club underwent at the end of the 2025/2026 season. The name of Matthias Jaissle, the coach of Al-Ahli Saudi, has reappeared on the list of candidates for the position.
The "Football Italia" website explained that Ralf Rangnick is closer to continuing with the Austrian national team after AC Milan delayed making its final decision.
Amid this setback, journalists Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto reported that AC Milan's management has reopened communication channels with Jaissle, who has been one of the names considered since last May.
The report added that the Italian club held a new direct meeting with the 38-year-old German coach in an attempt to reach an agreement for him to lead the team, despite the ongoing obstacle of the financial compensation requested by Al-Ahli Saudi, amounting to about 6 million euros.
Oliver Glasner is still among the candidates for coaching AC Milan, alongside Ruben Amorim and Arne Slot.
