A Message from El-Wensh to Zamalek Fans Regarding Mohamed Sobhi
Mahmoud Hamdy El-Wensh, the star of Zamalek, sent a message to the club's white fans regarding the team's goalkeeper, Mohamed Sobhi.
Mohamed Sobhi was sent off in the match against Otoho of Congo in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals after hitting an opposing player, prompting the referee to show a direct red card.
El-Wensh said on Instagram: "What I'm about to say might not please many people, and they have a point, by the way. Sobhi made a mistake, especially if the mistake involved some carelessness. I made the same mistake in the match against Wadi Degla, but thank God, due to the great players and the amazing fans, we got through that tough situation."
He continued: "We must not forget that Sobhi is one of the reasons we have the strongest defense line in the league so far, along with Awad, Al-Mahdi, and El-Shenawy. Since we started together with a technical staff, players, medical and administrative teams, and a large audience supporting us, we must stand by each other in difficult times because the tough times are yet to come."
He added, "With all our trust, God willing, we will overcome all the difficulties and rejoice together, God willing, and thank you for our efforts."
