The Italian coach Gian Piero Gasperini, the head coach of AS Roma, issued a warning regarding the physical and mental condition of players after their participation in continental tournaments, speaking about the recent situation of the Moroccan international Nael Aynaoui.

Gasperini stated in a media interview that players participating in the Africa Cup of Nations may see their performance affected upon returning to their clubs due to the pressure of matches and extensive travel during the tournament.

The Italian coach added: "Be cautious when signing players who will participate in the Africa Cup of Nations, as the player before the tournament is not the same as after," referring to the physical and mental impact that participation might have.

El Aynaoui is considered one of the players who performed well during the latest edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, and he is expected to be among the options for the Moroccan national football team's coach, Mohamed Wahbi, in the anticipated squad for the friendly matches against the Ecuadorian national football team and the Paraguayan national football team, as part of preparations for upcoming commitments.
