Omar Gaber: Fasting and Artificial Turf Make the Match Against Otoho Difficult for Zamalek
Omar Gaber, the Zamalek player, spoke about the difficulty of the upcoming match for his team against Otoho of Congo in the African Confederation Cup.
Zamalek will face Otoho tomorrow, Saturday, in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals.
In the press conference preceding the match, Jaber said: "The Otoho team achieves good results on their home ground, which is something the team respects, but Zamalek's goal is to achieve a positive result in tomorrow's match before playing the return leg in Cairo."
He added, "The match will take place during Ramadan while fasting, and on an artificial turf field, which increases the difficulty of the match conditions, in addition to the weather being different from what is usual in Cairo."
He continued: "The match strategy is directly the responsibility of the head coach, and Zamalek has a good group of players and understands the difficulty of the match and the strength of the opponent on their home ground."
He emphasized that the players are fully focused on delivering a good match and achieving the desired goal of returning with a positive result before the return match in Cairo.
