The management of Al Ahly SC has begun the process of searching for a new coach in the upcoming period, in anticipation of the possible departure of the Danish head coach, Jess Thorup, if the team fails to achieve any accomplishments during the current season.

The administration, led by Mahmoud El-Khatib, is seeking a potential coaching alternative after the team's fluctuating results and performance in recent matches under Torup's leadership.

The media personality Ahmed Shobeir revealed that Al Ahly officials have opened a line of communication with Hossam El-Badry, the coach of the Libyan team Al Ahli Tripoli, to ascertain his position on the possibility of taking over the coaching of the Red team starting from the next season.

Shobier pointed out that the communications that have taken place so far are informal and only aim to gauge Hossam El-Badry's interest in returning to coach Al-Ahly in the event of Torup's departure, especially if the team struggles in its journey in the CAF Champions League.

He added that Hossam El-Badry does not mind returning to lead Al-Ahly's technical staff again, but he prefers to complete his current season with Al-Ahly Tripoli before taking any new steps.
