Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, revealed the latest updates regarding his player Nico O'Reilly's injury, confirming that his condition will be assessed to determine his availability for the team's upcoming match against Newcastle United in the FA Cup.

Guardiola said: 'He felt better yesterday, we'll see today what his condition is, and he will be assessed to determine his participation.'

He added: 'We have to use all the team players, otherwise it will not be possible to play at the pace we want.'

The Spanish coach touched on the challenges of the busy match schedule, as the team plays three consecutive matches in three different competitions, explaining: 'Now we play a lot of matches in March and travel long distances, so fatigue is possible.'

He continued: 'Players must be careful with this tough schedule, we will travel to Madrid, then return, and travel to London, and it takes four or five hours to reach the hotel.'

Regarding the importance of the FA Cup, Guardiola explained: 'How many finals have we played in recent years? How many semi-final matches? A lot, and this means that the FA Cup is always very important, so we will definitely travel to Newcastle to win and qualify for the next round.'

Guardiola pointed out the readiness of the players, confirming: 'Erling Haaland will be available after missing the Leeds United match due to a minor injury, while O'Reilly might be among the team's options.'
