Arteta: Satisfied with These Matters, and We Knew the Difficulty of the Match
Sunday 01-03-2026
Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta appeared in a press conference following the 2-1 victory against Chelsea in the 28th round of the English Premier League, held at the Emirates Stadium.

The coach said in his talk: "We knew it would be a tough match; they are a great team with excellent training. I think we performed brilliantly throughout the game. The moment we conceded the goal was disappointing, but we had the entire second half. We should have maintained possession much better when they were playing with ten men."

He added, "We were aware of the importance of individual duels in set pieces because they are a strong team in both attack and defense."

About Jurrien Timber: "He is improving a lot in our phases of play, both offensively and defensively in the penalty areas."

Regarding Chelsea's demand for a penalty against Rice: "I haven't seen the replay, but it was a fierce battle throughout."

He continued about David Raya: "The last save he made was fantastic. We shouldn't have been in that position."

He emphasized, "We are very happy because we know we played two tough matches last week. I am satisfied with the fighting spirit, the desire to attack, and the control over the course of the game."

He concluded: "In March, we will participate in all competitions, and we will be at the forefront."
