A Major Blow to Zamalek: Al-Wensh Out for a Month Due to Adductor Tear
Wednesday 25-02-2026
Zamalek received a strong shock after confirming the absence of their defender Mahmoud Hamdy Al-Wensh for up to a month, following an injury he recently sustained during team training.

According to Al-Ahram newspaper, Al-Wensh suffers from a tear in the adductor muscle, which will keep him off the field for a longer period than initially expected, contrary to what was initially circulated by the management.

The international defender will miss Zamalek's upcoming matches in the Egyptian League against Pyramids, Al-Ittihad Alexandria, and Enppi, representing a significant technical blow to the team at a crucial stage of the season.

The newspaper pointed out that the medical staff is working to prepare Al-Wensh to catch up with the match against Congo's Otoho on March 14 in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, coach Moatamed Gamal finds himself in a defensive crisis, as he is left with only the trio of Mohamed Ismail, Hossam Abdel Magid, and Mohamed Osama in this position.
