The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" revealed that Alejandro Balde is facing strong competition for the left-back position at Barcelona, having been absent from the starting lineup in the last two La Liga matches against Girona and Levante.

According to the report, Baldi did not start in either of the two matches, participating in one during the last half hour, while remaining on the bench in the other without playing. Coach Hans Flick chose to play Joao Cancelo in the left-back position, preferring to change his position instead of giving Kounde a rest, a decision considered to have clear implications.

The report indicated that Balde was a starter in only two of the last five official matches, against Mallorca in the league and against Atletico in the King's Cup, and he had never experienced such a limited participation period without being injured.

The newspaper added that the player showed some signs of inconsistency in his performance, while Cancelo's brilliance and his award for the best player in the Levante match pose a direct threat to his place in the lineup.

Despite this, Balde is attracting interest from several European clubs, most notably Inter Milan and Manchester United, who are considering the possibility of signing him during the summer transfer window. However, the report clarified that the player, who has an active contract with Barcelona, is not considering leaving the club, and coach Flick does not have his departure in his plans.
