Yves Torup, the coach of Al Ahly, spoke about his team's victory over El Gouna on Thursday evening in the league.

Al Ahly defeated El Gouna 1-0 in the 18th round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Torop said at the press conference following the match: "After the African Champions League stage, it was important to focus on the league championship because we currently have 5 matches in that competition."

He added, "We achieved an important victory and missed opportunities that could have increased the number of goals. Some might see this as a negative, while others might view it positively in terms of reaching the goal. We must not forget the outstanding defensive performance from the defenders and keeping a clean sheet."

Regarding the frequent missed opportunities by Al Ahly's strikers, Torop said: "I knew you would ask me about the striker, because our striker has scored a goal in 8 matches, which means we need to work on this matter."

He continued: "We saw Marwan Osman miss a chance, and Kamouish missed more than one opportunity as well, so we need to work with them on this matter now."

Regarding the rotation in the goalkeeper position, Torop said: "I have the best two goalkeepers in Egypt, and I have four goalkeepers with great strength. There is competition among them, and they push each other to compete. Without any specific order, I choose the most suitable one for each match and play him."
