Official: Al Ahly to Face Barcelona in Joan Gamper Trophy Friendly

A delegation from Al Ahly Football Club has concluded an official visit to the Spanish city of Barcelona, resulting in the completion of all agreements and joint arrangements with the management of the Catalan club, as announced officially by the Red Club.

Al Ahly Club officially announced today that Al Ahly Football Company has reached an agreement with Spanish club Barcelona to hold a friendly match between the two teams as part of the 61st edition of the Joan Gamper Trophy.

Al Ahly has announced that a delegation from Al Ahly Football Company, including board member Ahmed Hossam Awad and CEO Naira Ali, visited Spain to finalize all details regarding the match set to take place on August 19.

The club indicated that the delegation discussed arrangements for the meeting with Barcelona officials, including Communications Director Gabriel Martinez and Head of Strategic Projects Marina Eves.

Al Ahly has confirmed that this step is part of the club's strategy to enhance its global presence and open new avenues for cooperation with major clubs and sports institutions in Europe.
