Pyramids FC Responds to Proposal for More Clubs in Champions League

Hani Said, the sporting director of Pyramids FC, commented on the request made by Hani Abu Rida, the president of the Egyptian Football Association, to CAF to increase the number of teams participating in the African Champions League and the African Confederation Cup.

Hani Said, during his appearance on the program "Ya Masaa Al-Anwar" broadcast on MBC Masr 2, stated: "The topic of increasing the number of clubs in African competitions will definitely be beneficial for clubs in Egypt, allowing for 3 clubs in the Champions League and the same in the Confederation Cup instead of 2."

He added: "Regardless of the timing, why now and not last year or three years ago? As Egyptian football, we benefit from the decision to increase the number of clubs, but it is in my interest for the number of strong teams in the CAF Champions League to decrease, like Al Ahly, which is always a contender."

Hani Said concluded his statements by saying: "As long as it enhances the strength of the league, we have no problem."
