The draw for the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League resulted in a strong match-up between the Royal Army and Pyramids, in a repeat of last year's tournament scenario.

In his comment on the draw result, Royal Army's coach Alexandre Santos confirmed that his team was expecting to face one of three clubs: Stade Malien, Al Hilal of Sudan, or Pyramids, before the draw settled on the Egyptian team.

Santos explained that the match will be difficult against a team crowned with the continental title and leading its group with 16 points, having achieved five wins and one draw in the group stage. He noted that Pyramids includes outstanding players who have won several titles in recent seasons.

The army coach added that his team is required to prepare well for this stage, emphasizing that the goal is clear, which is to qualify for the semifinals, despite the strength of the opponent.

He concluded his remarks by emphasizing that the team must be prepared to overcome any opponent the draw places in their path, considering reaching the semi-finals as a significant and historic milestone for the club in its continental journey.
