Ceramica Coach: Beating Zamalek is the Most Important Step Towards the Egypt Cup Title
Mohamed Abdel Karim, the assistant coach of Ceramica Cleopatra Club, commented on his team's victory over Zamalek and their qualification for the quarter-finals of the Egypt Cup.
Ceramica defeated Zamalek 2-1 in the Round of 16 of the Egypt Cup, advancing to face Tala'ea El Gaish in the quarter-finals.
Abdel Karim said in statements on "On Sport" channel: "An important win, a very good performance. We faced a great team with its fans and management. I commend Moatamed Gamal for the period he has been in charge, despite all the pressures. But we studied Zamalek well."
He added: "Zamalek's goal came from a mistake, but during halftime, Ala Maher asked the players to maintain the same performance. Even if we lost, we would have been happy."
He continued: "A win gives us another ambition in the Egypt Cup title, which is another championship, after we topped the league and are competing for its title as well."
