Arsenal Reaches Agreement with Saka to Extend His Contract
Tuesday 17-02-2026
Reports have revealed that the English international winger Bukayo Saka is nearing the signing of a new contract with Arsenal that extends for five years, keeping him with the London club until 2031, despite his previous contract signed in 2023 which was set to last until the summer of 2027.

According to what was reported by BBC Sport, the new agreement will make Saka the highest-paid player in Arsenal's ranks, with a salary exceeding £300,000 per week, following negotiations that lasted nearly a year, as the player had verbally agreed last January to continue with the team.

The extension of Saka's contract represents a significant boost for coach Mikel Arteta, as the team seeks to return to the podiums, with Arsenal competing on four fronts this season. The team is leading the Premier League standings, four points ahead of its closest rivals, and is preparing to face Manchester City in the English League Cup final in March.

Arsenal has also qualified for the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League and reached the fifth round of the FA Cup, in a season where Saka has scored 7 goals in 33 matches wearing the team's jersey.
