Press reports revealed that the English club Arsenal has entered into talks with its captain Martin Odegaard regarding his future with the team, amid possibilities of his departure in the summer of 2026, with Declan Rice being nominated to carry the captain's armband next season.

According to what was reported by the site "TEAMtalk", Odegaard, who is under contract with Arsenal until the summer of 2028, may leave the club if he decides to seek a new opportunity. The report indicated that Arsenal's management is ready to listen to offers, amid previous talks about tension or disagreement between the player and coach Mikel Arteta.

Odegaard joined Arsenal in 2021 from Real Madrid and has participated in 224 matches across various competitions, scoring 42 goals and providing 44 assists.

However, his performance this 2025/2026 season has not been at its best, as he suffered from injuries and scored one goal and provided four assists in 19 Premier League matches.
